Link Airways Cabin Baggage Allowance 2025
Passengers flying with Link Airways are permitted to bring one item of cabin baggage on board, with maximum dimensions of 48 x 34 x 23 cm and a weight limit of 7 kg. This item must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment.
Link Airways Hand Luggage Allowance 2025:
Passengers flying on Saab 340B Plus and Metro 23 aircraft are permitted to check in one piece of luggage, depending on their fare type.
Link Airways Infant Baggage Allowance 2025:
Infants not occupying their own seat can travel with up to three additional infant items at no extra cost (maximum total 23 kg). These items include:
- One car seat or baby capsule
- One collapsible stroller or pushchair
- One collapsible cot or bassinet
Passengers must notify Link Airways or their travel agent in advance if checking infant items. Any additional baggage beyond this will incur standard fees.
What You Cannot Pack in Checked Baggage
The following items must not be placed in your checked luggage:
- Cash, credit cards, passports, deeds or other valuables
- Jewellery, antiques or precious metals
- Fragile items (e.g. glassware, musical instruments)
- Perishable goods such as seafood
- Medicines
- Electronics (e.g. computers, cameras)
- Items with insufficient packaging to withstand air travel
Mobility Equipment Allowance Allowance
Mobility Equipment Allowance
Link Airways carries one piece of mobility equipment free of charge, in addition to your normal checked baggage allowance. This includes:
Mobility Aids: wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, mobility scooters
Assistive Devices: walking frames, hoists, shower chairs, commodes
Conditions apply:
- Max weight per item: 120 kg
- Items over 120 kg must be approved in advance (email: reservations@linkairways.com)
- Equipment must be for personal use and must fit within: 100 cm (W) x 84 cm (H) x 125 cm (L) or be collapsible
- Additional mobility items beyond the first will count toward your checked baggage allowance
Oversize Baggage Fees
Oversized charges apply at the airport if a bag exceeds the weight of your entitled allowance. No single item may exceed 32 kg. Excess baggage may not always travel on the same flight and may be sent on a later service.
All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST.
Bicycles
- Preferably packed in a bike box
- If unpacked, must have pedals and front wheel removed, handlebars turned in, and chain protected
- Counts as one piece of checked baggage
- Included if within allowance; excess charges apply otherwise
Golf Sticks
- Exempt from 140 cm linear size limit
- Counts as one piece of checked baggage
- Included if within allowance; excess charges apply otherwise
Skis
- Exempt from 140 cm linear size limit
- Counts as one piece of checked baggage
- Included if within allowance; excess charges apply otherwise
Surfboards
- Exempt from the 140 cm rule but must not exceed 2 metres in length
- Counts as one piece of checked baggage
- Included if within allowance; excess charges apply otherwise
Pets
- Only certified Service Animals are allowed in the cabin
- Other domestic animals are not accepted for travel on Link Airways flights
