Delta Joins United and Jet Blue by Increasing Baggage Fees

Weeks after United and Jet Blue increased their checked baggage fees, Delta Air Lines have now followed suit.
The changes have seen the cost of checking a bag with Delta increase by $5, from $25 to $30. The cost of checking a second bag is also up $5, from $35 to $40.
Delta is the latest in a string of North American airlines to increase their checked baggage fees in response to rising fuel costs. The trend began with JetBlue increasing their prices in August, followed by US airline United Airlines and Canadian airlines WestJet and Air Canada.
There is no need to worry about checked baggage fees if you send your luggage ahead, plus you get to travel luggage-free!
