Rex Hand Luggage Allowance 2025:

All Rex passengers are permitted to bring one piece of cabin baggage measuring no more than 36 x 23 x 56 cm and weighing up to 7 kg.

In addition, you're allowed one small personal item, such as a handbag, laptop case or coat.

Business class passengers may carry up to two cabin bags with a combined total weight of 10 kg.

Rex Checked Baggage Policy

Economy Class passengers can check in one bag up to 23 kg on most routes. Additional baggage may be purchased online or at the airport.

Business Class passengers enjoy a higher allowance of two bags up to 32 kg each.

The maximum total dimensions for each checked bag must not exceed 140 cm (L + W + H).

Rex Airlines Excess Baggage Charges Policy

If your bag exceeds the free allowance, excess baggage charges apply. Rates start from AU$5.50 per kg over the limit when pre-booked, and higher rates may apply at the airport.

Rex Airlines Sports Equipment

Sporting equipment such as skis, golf clubs, or surfboards can be checked into the hold. These items must be within the weight allowance or may incur additional fees. Contact Rex directly to confirm acceptance and charges for specific items.

Rex Airlines Cabin Baggage for Infants

When travelling with an infant (under two years), you are permitted to bring a baby bag in addition to your own hand luggage. The baby bag must be no larger than standard carry-on dimensions and should hold essentials for the flight.

Parents may also check in two infant-related items at no extra cost, including:

• pram or stroller
• car seat
• travel cot
• booster seat

Children over the age of two have the same cabin baggage allowance as adult passengers.
